Hsinchu Science Park recently marked its 45th anniversary, highlighting the strong performance of Taiwan’s high-tech industry. This year, Taiwan’s three major science parks all recorded double-digit revenue growth, reflecting continued momentum across the technology sector.
During the anniversary celebration, the park also presented its annual awards to recognize outstanding achievements by park companies. Winners of the Outstanding Innovative Product Award included Realtek, Innolux, Raydium, and Giga-Byte Technology. The R&D Achievement Award was received by GlobalWafers, while the Industrial Waste Reduction and Circular Economy Excellence Award was awarded to UMC, TSMC, PSMC, and Vanguard International Semiconductor.
The park’s industry association held the anniversary event on the 15th, with senior representatives from industry and government attending. Speaking at the event, Su Chen-Kang, Deputy Minister of the National Science and Technology Council, said Hsinchu Science Park has long been a benchmark and innovation hub for Taiwan’s high-tech development. He noted that the strong revenue growth across the three science parks reflects the joint efforts of park companies and management teams.
Su also emphasized that the government is actively promoting the “New Ten AI-Driven Infrastructure Projects,” which include silicon photonics, quantum technology, artificial intelligence, and smart robotics. These initiatives require close cooperation from science park companies. He added that the government will continue to work with industry partners to invest in Taiwan and strengthen the resilience of the industrial ecosystem.
Hsinchu Science Park Director-General Hu Shih-Min said the 45th anniversary represents more than just a number, symbolizing decades of dedication, innovation, and shared effort. He stressed that the park administration will continue to support companies as a reliable partner and help new ideas grow in Hsinchu before reaching global markets.
As part of the anniversary program, the park organized a startup innovation exhibition, featuring eight promising Hsinchu-based startups that participated in Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology (SWITCH) 2025, showcasing the park’s strong startup and innovation capabilities.
