The Electronic Supply Management Association Taiwan (ESMA) held its 2025 Year-End Gala on December 6 at Cosmos Hotel Taipei. Led by Chairman Tsai and the association’s board members, the event gathered more than one hundred senior executives and procurement leaders from across the semiconductor, drone, thermal module, display panel, storage, industrial control, and EMS sectors.
A major highlight of the event was a keynote speech by ASPEED Technology’s Chief Operating Officer and former Intel Taiwan General Manager, Hsieh Cheng-Ju, titled “Comprehensive AI Visual Recognition and Enterprise Applications,” which drew strong industry attention.
ESMA Becomes a Formal Organization:Connecting 1,800 Supply Chain Members to Taiwan’s Manufacturing Core Strength.
Founded in 2024, ESMA originated from the growing need for corporate integration in 2020, bringing together more than 1,800 upstream, midstream, and downstream members from the electronics supply chain to create a unified communication platform for buyers and suppliers.
According to the board of directors, Taiwan possesses one of the world’s most complete electronic industry ecosystems — from semiconductor manufacturing and thermal modules to industrial control systems and display panels. With ESMA’s establishment, domestic companies now have a more reliable contact point for procurement teams from Japan, the United States, and other international firms, accelerating market expansion for Taiwan’s supply chain.
A Japanese procurement representative in Taiwan further commented: “ Taiwan’s AI, server, and industrial PC supply chains are the most complete in the world. Taiwanese companies deserve greater global visibility. ”
ASPEED Analyzes AI Panoramic Vision Trends 720° Remote Management Enters the Era of Wide Adoption
In his keynote, COO Hsieh emphasized that as AI and remote management needs rapidly increase, enterprises are shifting from traditional CCTV systems to panoramic visual technology.
ASPEED and its wholly owned subsidiary Cupola have long specialized in remote management and server BMC technologies. Together with ecosystem partners Starvy Technology and Foxconn Group, ASPEED has developed an AI-powered 720-degree panoramic imaging system. Key advantages include:
720° Panoramic Imaging with Zero Blind Spots Combining four cameras into a seamless stitched view, the system eliminates blind corners and solves issues such as limited camera angles and fragmented multi-screen monitoring.
Ultra-Low AI Computing Requirements Unlike traditional AI cameras that require heavy pre-processing, panoramic systems capture complete scene information in one shot, reducing costs for functions such as people counting.
Heatmap & Customer Flow Analysis Ideal for malls, hypermarkets, and trade shows, the technology provides real-time behavior insights to help optimize product displays, staffing, and operations.
Enhanced Construction and Factory Safety The system can detect hardhat usage, falls, and intrusions into hazardous zones—far outperforming manual monitoring.
Smart City Applications in Traffic and Public Safety Already deployed in Kaohsiung and other cities, the system analyzes vehicular, motorbike, and pedestrian movement, offering data-driven insights for urban planning.
With the integration of Time Capsule Recording and expandable AI apps, ASPEED aims to create fully traceable digitalized environments for construction sites and commercial spaces.
ASPEED also showcased a time capsule solution developed with Synology and QMEM, combining NAS storage to preserve panoramic footage for long-term review and evidence collection.
In addition, the system’s app-based expansion framework enables installation of customized AI tools—similar to a smartphone ecosystem—greatly improving flexibility for multi-site construction, factories, and commercial operations .
AI Panoramic Monitoring Achieves Full Deployment. From Construction Sites and Restaurants to Smart Cities.
The event featured multiple real-world case demonstrations :
Restaurant Operations : Real-time monitoring of orders and dining duration supports better staffing allocation.
Construction Management : A portable system with built-in battery and 4G module enables deployment in areas lacking power and internet.
Traffic Analytics : Automated visual mapping of Taipei traffic flows enhances city management efficiency.
Public Safety : Smoke, fire sources, and hazardous behaviors can be detected instantly—responding faster than traditional detectors.
AI can now search video footage using natural-language descriptions such as “find the person in blue” or “find the person on the phone,” significantly reducing review time. Networking, Banquet, Prizes — Strengthening Collaboration Across the Industry.
In addition to the keynote, ESMA arranged networking sessions, a banquet, and lively prize drawings sponsored by various corporate partners. Attendees expressed that the event not only strengthened industry connections but also enhanced their understanding of AI applications and future opportunities.
The association stated it will continue hosting industry exchange events to help companies stay closer to market dynamics and seize emerging opportunities.
