在AI題材熱度持續延燒半導體業營收成長；而半導體業則受惠於AI議題，供應鏈需求強勁， 2024年台灣半導體產值將達5兆元。
蔡昆凌博士認為：台灣半導體產業的成長正在加速，2020變成3兆，2021年後達4兆，最近在AI議題助長下產值達5兆。事實上如果掌握最新AI、5G、區塊鏈應用就是掌握經濟發展；台灣在工業4.0、疫情間加速數位轉型、以及AI等動能，驅動了這樣的成長，更加解決人們工作及生活上的需要。
但蔡昆凌博士卻提出：近期國內各產業間呈現「不平衡復甦」，與半導體、AI相關的通信光學、電子資訊、散熱等領域表現佳，但化學生技、金屬機械等領域則相對弱勢。台灣應該需強化半導體和其他產業的鏈結；但台灣近年產業發展更加往半導體傾斜，半導體佔台灣總出口近40%、並佔了GDP的13%，但僅有7％的就業人口，所以證明需強化半導體和其他產業的鏈結，唯有此才讓台灣整體經濟發展更健全。
The popularity of AI topics continues to drive revenue growth in the semiconductor industry; while the semiconductor industry is benefiting from AI issues and strong supply chain demand, Taiwan’s semiconductor output value shall reach 5 trillion yuan in 2024.
Dr. Steven Tsai believes that the growth of Taiwan’s semiconductor industry is accelerating, reaching 3 trillion in 2020, 4 trillion after 2021, and recently the output value reached 5 trillion driven by the AI issues.
Actually, if you master the latest AI, 5G, and blockchain applications, you will master economic development; Taiwan’s accelerated digital transformation during Industry 4.0, the epidemic, and AI and other driving forces have driven such growth and better solved people’s work and life needs.
However, Dr. Steven Tsai pointed out: Recently, there has been an “unbalanced recovery” among various domestic industries. Communication optics, electronic information, heat dissipation and other fields related to semiconductors and AI have performed well, but chemical technology, metal machinery and other fields have been relatively weak. Taiwan authorities should need to strengthen the link between semiconductors and other industries; but in recent years, Taiwan’s industrial development has been more tilted towards semiconductors. Semiconductors account for nearly 40% of Taiwan’s total exports and 13% of GDP, but only 7% of the employed population, so it proves that It is necessary to strengthen the link between semiconductors and other industries. Only in this way can Taiwan’s overall economic development be getting better.
